Before you start

http://www.mysite.com/drupal/install.php over the web giving the following error. I have installed the core 5.1 script into ..../htdocs/drupal and updated the oracle files. What is the next step? Can someone help?

In your ./sites/default/settings.php file you have configured Drupal to use a oracle9i server, however your PHP installation currently does not support this database type.

I have installed Drupal 5 and will be usinig it for portal that will aggregate content and also a user forum. I have experience with vBulletin and PHPBB, and I think that vBulletin is very good.

Can anyone take a minute to compare the Drupal forum with other pure forum applications.

One option would be to use Drupal for all of the context and vBulletin for the forum.

Stuff like that, that users would like to see in a restaurant directory and culinary website, maybe have a classified section integrated with paypal...

How do i do this? The website has been online for almost two years si its time to get better, but how?

Yesterday, I knew about Drupal, and looks a nice system, but will it serve my requirements? thats my question today.

I need a website to show my products to my customers. There are hundres of products, divided into several major categories. While I do not need to sell them online, I just need to show them like in zencart or oscommerce.

What is the best module that fits my needs? I've tried the book module, to organize my products in a tree like structure. The result is here: www.yongcheng.biz

However, it lacks this feature: organizing the products in a page. Shall I use another module instead?
