Our client has requested direct content control over their static pages.
the site is perl CGI, has templates, and needs dynamically controlled content on every page: menu, etc... (this means that when pages are displayed, certain [% menu %] (et al) tags have to be expanded, using the existing CGI code (maybe i can change this to php).
the users which have to input are absolute layman, and are not able to use tags (like in this post)
hi, i have a website , sort of like a directory, , its a list of places in my city, can i build pages just to display a place such as a nighclub, and it would contain comments, photos, videos, and other stuff on that place? i want to keep my website, notabley a homepage and a few other pages that i had built and integrate drupal just for the details of places? if so, would i need to install drupal like the tutorial specifies and just use my existing website to link to those drupal pages?
Hi, I have tried praticly every reccomended free cms system on the market. I have litterally used more than 20-30 of em and think i like drupal the best. Now my question is will my below design be able to be built with drupal? I am not a programmer hints why im going after cms since I dont have the knowledge to code internet applications. For now I am just wondering if I can fully intergrate the below psd into drupal and a quick and easy way to do it. I have all summer but hope to have the design part done with in a few weeks.

I have been testing both drupal and drupaled for use as a schoolwebsite. I'd like to know if it's possible to have students upload files in a personal file area. Each student should only be able to access it's own files. A teacher should be able to access all files submitted by his students.
So far I've looked at the upload module / user roles / taxonomy based access. What is the best solution?
The company that I work for is considering a shortlist of various CMS's for an internal project, and I am wondering if any of you could help me out with this list (below).
While I have plenty of Drupal experience already, I'm not entirely sure what's possible out of the box, what requires contrib modules, and what will have to be written by us before Drupal is up to the task.
I'd appreciate it if anyone could reply with a quick list of what is/isn't possible :)
