Ok this is a rant so move a long if you don't want to see a rant
Drupal Documentation.
Who is writing this stuff?
Who are they writing if for?
I seems that most of the documentation is about the core and the rational behind the core, along with a few code fragments on how something might be used with the piece of core functionality. The documentation seem to be clearly focused on people writing for the drupal core not for people wanting the leverage the core
Not sure if this is the right forum but I'm all fired up about something that happened at work today and just have to post about it. This guy, one of those snooty know-it-all object-oriented "Drupal Sucks" guy goes off about how much Drupal sucks.
I am looking for a full fledged but free analytics module for my site that is not from google. Would like some recommendations from someone currently using one with Drupal 7.
I am a noob to Drupal but have been around the block a few times with CMS, etc. The recent Infoworld Bossie Award for Drupal and the, apparently, deep community convinced me to give it a go.
I just installed 7.8 and started setting up a simple, page based site. One of the first things to do required a multi-level menu. Made the pages, made the menu settings and tried the site. Only the top level of every menu appeared.
Goal:
I am the Founding CEO of a Digital Media company based in South Africa looking for developers that eat sleep and dream Drupal.
Why?:
To assist with developing the core site behind a unique Hyperlocal Start Up.
Who?:
Those of you that has seen the rise of Start Ups and have always felt you would love to be part of something similar....and anyone that knows their way around Drupal 6/7 and can drill into its core ;)
