New Drupal site getting slower day by day

Why my new drupal site is getting slower and slower day by day as i am installing new modules.

DB size is 25 mb, and i also increase PHP core speed from 32MB to 256MB and still it hasnt improve as i want it to load atleast less than 5 secs per page.

Site is sitting on my VPS server that is having enough resources and very fat bandwidth. On same server i have 1 year old PHP BB forums, that loads in less than 2 secs. And this drupal site with structure takes 5 sec - 15 sec on everypage.

I am more worried if with empty db its getting this slower so with HUGE data entry how long will it take. Is there is anything else i should do?

See the speed here in browsing sample data under car detail or classified.

Thanks in advance guys.

Is a module like Global Redirect necessary for proper SEO with clean URLs enabled?

I was wondering if a module like Global Redirect is absolutely necessary for proper SEO if you're using Drupal's clean URLs. If true, and we're sure about this, why wouldn't this be a core feature? I mean, if we know this hurts SEO, why not prevent this upfront instead of after?

I normally don't put too much thought into SEO. It all seems too much for me and i don't have all the time to focus like I would need if I wanted to get perfect SEO. With that said, I do the little things I come across and installing another module isn't that much work if I really should be using it.

Drupal for a newspaper website

Hi everyone,

My friend and I have been assigned to work on a website for a school newspaper, but we're having difficulty choosing between Drupal and Joomla.

Yes, this is going to be biased, but your opinion would be helpful, since I've tested both, and I like Drupal more; but my friend is unwilling to use Drupal and only wants to use Joomla.

Questions

Hello. I have a site made with Drupal 6. Now I want to make a new version of the site based on Drupal 7. At this point it can be said that Drupal 7 is good for sites in production?
And another question: a replacement for Drupal 7 swftools module?

Sorry for poor English and thank you.

"Add node" Block

I've searched for a long time and I'm not able to find a module with the following functionality:

A block that I can configure to choose a content-type. Then this block shows the fields just like the usual node/add/contenttype page.
If the user fills the form and hits save, a new node of this content type will be created and the user is redirected to it.

Don't get me wrong, I know how to develop it but I want to know if there is already a module doing this.

Any advice is appreciated.

SEO Critique

I need some help, have spent a good amount of time trying to get our rankings up in the last few weeks. We are a small company that does pretty good business despite the antiquated site we are on. The help I need lies in someone taking a look at the site and telling me a few simple things.

We primarily sell Paint markers, Industrial Markers and some art supplies. The core business is the Paint Markers, mainly the Solid Markers. I have nothing to compare too other than where we sit in the rankings, I'd like to improve those if possible. What I don't want are a bunch of replies with links to better title tags/meta tags and seo. I can find links all day. I honestly am hoping a few of you would take a quick minute to take a look at hoe the site comes up in searches, maybe provide some feedback as to how you think we are comparatively and possibly where you may think we should focus to improve.

I'm very much still a novice, I took the site over a few weeks ago and simply want to make it the best site I possibly can. I am moving us to Drupal 7 ASAP but for now this is what I inherited. Your help is beyond appreciated
