First, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this... it's re: the drupal.org site - but I didn't see an option for that in the "Forums" drop-down.
Would it be possible to add an option either in the "refine your search" selection, or in the "or filter by.." section of the right sidebar to select the Drupal version? I've wished for this in the past, but just now I was searching on "tablesort" and spent significant amount of time reading about the "tablesort extender" before I realized that was for Drupal 7.
I'd like to use Drupal to run e-shop or better to say e-showcase. So visitors may at the moment only see goods and prices as well as navigate thought categories/collections. Buying/ordering online functionality is on the list for now.
What would be the best solution for the task? Should I use contributed modules, like Ubercart or it's ok to make several custom content types and views?
I have been teaching web development using Drupal for a couple of years and recently decided to take my training online (www.weblearn.xceedia.co.uk ) because I think this should be a natural platform for delivering this sort of training. Though I render the training online supplemented by online forums for each course , I also take email questions directly from each student. I would however wish to give my students a continuously improving elearing experience.
Has anyone had an online learning experience ?
At my current job I've been the only web developer in the office for almost 3 years. So for that whole time I just used MAMP and Coda to develop my Drupal projects. We have a 2nd developer that will be starting pretty soon and I need to figure out the best way to set everything up so we can both work on the same project.
I'm guessing the best way to do this is to have the 2 of us work on our own local machines then merge the projects to a dev site that everyone in the office can see. I'm guessing this would be done through git.. which I have no experience with.
