General discussion

I traditionally have been a WordPress developer and I understand that this is a broad question. I want to get into Drupal and have a project that may lend itself to what it has to offer. I am looking for experienced assistance in deciding if it is going to have the framework to support the functionality I require.

I really need some help!!!

I built a nice Drupal 6 site for a customer, also an online shop in a subdomain using Uebercart and integration with PHP-List. I worked on it almost 7 months because the customer seemed to have endless wishes...I Phostosped pictures, edited video material, etc...

When I was done, told me 1000 times how happy he was with the website, etc. how much he liked, etc...

I sent the invoice and then he wouldn't pay, kept saying next week, next week...when he wouldn't answer my calls I wrote him an email stating that I would shut down the website if he didn't pay me soon...then he called me back and asked me to go and see him...

When I went to his office by myselft, he was was waiting for me together with a guy who happened to have a gun - the guy started beating me and warned me not to "touch" the website....I was in the hospital the whole last week for that reason....I went to the cops, but I doesn't look like something is going to happen since apperently there are no whitnesses....

Turns out that they changed all passwords and cut my access to the website....I went to the courthouse this morning and tried to get a court order to get the site shut down. They told me that is going to take months...

Hi, everyone.
Sorry for silly questions, but I faced to problem of creating 2 catalogs on my site.

I posted something similar in another post yesterday, but realized I was asking too broad of a question. So this post I am going to narrow down just 1 thing. Btw, thanks Jay Matwichuk for replying to my other post.

My scenario is I need to design a web platform for a small startup company, with the following features:

- Starting with 1 web server in US and 1 web server in Asia (which means 2 separate Drupal installations)

- Users ranging from customers, regular employees, salesmen, department managers.

- Salesmen must have their own blog/photo gallery/etc...

For starter, I must solve the user authentication problem. For the least I will have 2 separate user databases floating around that users must register multiple times and log in multiple times. But Drupal must have a way to have a centralized user database for multiple Drupal sites?

I have searched everywhere on Google without a clear answer (maybe I lack the right search term). And I am sure Drupal is not used just for developing cute looking standalone sites.
