I know how to deal with spam user accounts, I was just surprised at how quick they found me!
Registered a .com domain at 12.06pm yesterday, and at 11.22pm my Drupal installation got its first spam account signup, followed by three more in the next 6 hours.
The domain doesn't appear in Google at all, and I am sure it is a 'virgin' domain.
Although the IP address of the A record has hosted a couple of other domains for a few years (but the new one is an Apache virtual host, so using the IP address alone doesn't get to it).
I have built a website (ask google about Soowt), It Is an International social network for photo contests.
It Is entirely written with D7 (with JS) and I am looking for drupal lovers to join the adventure, cause I strong believe in the potential of this new network.
The version online now is a public beta.I am now looking for people who are passionate and good enough, to discuss the use of Drupal for this kinf of project.
How much do you guys charge for a basic Drupal Site with an Image Gallery Module, an account for the customer to upload himself the photos and a contact form?... very basic, using themes from drupal.org, and the final result will sounds like a folder u know.
I dont know how to charge for a job like that u know, I'm afraid to charge too much or too little.
Is it just me or did the dates on comments in D.O forums change from actual dates to ambiguous phrases?
I've always relied on the real dates for comments, especially with patches so I know what git commit to apply them to, but now I'm seeing ambiguous dates like "commented 3 years ago" or "commented about a year ago".
I don't know about anyone else, but I don't find "dates" like that very useful?
First and foremost I apologise if this is in the incorrect section!
