This forum is for less technical discussions about the Drupal project, not for support questions.

Whitelist functionality

I am using usb modem, so my IP is dynamic and usually saved on Http:BL, I am not spammer, but any other can be.

So I am trying open any link on drupal.org, it's show me goto whitelist:

There I fill data:

Integrating there platforms

Hello

I'm the owner of a drupal project for which I have hired out. The project has been going on for several months and I have through this time learned how complicated things have gotten.

When developer showed me admin controls in drupal he thought it was easy and simple (his russian accent probably did not help explanation) but for me it was really complicated and I forget everything right away even thought I would consider myself having decent technical skills.

the problem of unread support posts

Here are some thoughts which I felt like sharing on unread support posts.

Having, like several others, been active daily for a few of years answering support questions on the forum, I have seen all sorts of response. Some are grateful for support, a few are easily offended, and a handful either crazy or stupid. That is to be expected. What discourages me from continuing is more that a very large percentage of posts appears to be unread.

Drupal as ECM

Hello Guys,

I have been working in Drupal since last 2.5years, today i am facing a challenge of using standalone Drupal as ECM & DMS. I did go through a lot many post of integrating Drupal with Alfresco but without using Alfresco how can we do that?

Are there any specific modules that can be used or any specific distribution built for the same?

Wish List: Dependencies field/link for Modules project form

Have I overlooked a Drupal.org issue queue? Probably more appropriate posted there but:

It would be great if a "Dependencies" required field (.link) was added to the Modules project add/edit form, so that one can quickly click to download each dependent module. Some module developers are better than others at including this information in the narrative. And, it is a real time-saver -- rather than have to install the module only to discover you need a dependency to even enable it.

Standardization & Initial Considerations

I am new to Drupal.
I am not new to programming, frameworks, and databases - by 30 years ! (yes, I'm an old man)
And I'm going to voice my opinion of Drupal 7, which I am currently learning.

First off: where's the documentation? The official guides to doing things.
There are literally hundreds of pages about this and that, usually conflicting, usually out-of-date, nearly always incomplete and lacking important details. Yes I could buy a book, but I could just as easily spend that money on a prebuilt working system !!!
