Drupal 7.x

does anyone know why the list of allowed characters has 2 '_' (underscore) characters instead of one?

i.e.

 $allowed_characters = '[a-z0-9\/:_\-_\.\?\$,;~=#&%\+]'; 

instead of

 $allowed_characters = '[a-z0-9\/:_\-\.\?\$,;~=#&%\+]'; 

I am 2 months old in Drupal;
I started using Drupal 6 (only project I used Drupal 5 was for Ubercart);
I like Drupal a lot

but

the most annoying thing I ran into time and time again was finding modules i need that are not ported for Drupal 6; I know the policy is that the community should take care of that but, I gues it doesn't work as good as expected;

Drupal 7 will come out and a lot of useful modules are not even ported for Drupal 6; when i see Drupal 7 in more and more places I get scared cause of this

Looking for american based drupal CMS person. My client tried to edit his site using the drupal CMS and lost his flash, some pages, some pictures, hovers, and other features. I dont know what happened. His other web designer deserted him, so he called me, and I am looking for some help with this situation.

OK I have been searching the site really hard but can't seem to find the answer. Now the blocks in drupal have files and in those files there is this line: <?php print $block->content ?> which is cool. The blocks when they have a list e.g. latest blog posts or syndication print this:

I manage a medium size website with some 30,000 unique content pages. It is a weekly updated site and I wish to shift all content to a drupal powered CMS and looking for complete solution including website theme, CMS design etc so that non technical people can manage it.
