Drupal 7.x

Congrats on the release of Drupal 7! I am just getting started with this robust CMS and I am just trying to get my feet wet.

I am trying to add star rating as part of the comments field group. In other words, user will be able to cast their vote about the node (story), one rating per comment. There isn't a direct explanation how this is possible using fivestar. I know fivestar for drupal 7.0 is still in development.

I have this problem since my first rc1 testing installation and I was hoping that it will disappear when official Drupal 7 release but unfortunately is still here.

I just installed Drupal a couple of hours ago and have been playing with it since. I'm trying to create a headline, which the admin can edit, and which will appear as part of the header for all of the pages. I thought I could do it by creating my own content type, but now I'm stuck because all content types seem to appear in the format of a blog post. I just want this to be a simple one line plain text which the administrator can edit. Is there an easy way to do this?

Hullo, Drupal newb here. I want to make a catalogue/bookshelf, and I'm planning to do it through taxonomy. Please stop me if there's an easier way to do it, but if there isn't:

Is this a sensible taxonomy structure?

After enabling the htaccess file (i orgininally hadnt copied it) I can't access my drupal site or wordpress blog. Drupal was root, and wordpress was in a subdirectory.

Any ideas? I want the htaccess as I prefer clean URLs and I think I cant run cron properly without it but I may very well be wrong. The error page I got it 500 - Internal Server Error)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

hello all,
recently, i've been learning drupal and now i got the gist on how to use drupal. i find it very flexible than joomla. i'm wondering what are the steps into migrating from joomla to drupal.. i have a live website right now using joomla and i would love to migrate all my sites to drupal..
