Is it possible to edit node fields with comments in drupal 7

I have a content type called "tickets" with a custom field called "workflow".
Now i want some users to be able to edit the workflow field with a comment.
I was able to create the workflow field in comments but how can i mange to somehow link the two field together so that the comment workflow field can edit the node workflow field.

Any ideas?
Thx

how to add comments to taxonomy terms in D7?

Hi,

D7 terms are fieldable so we can add pictures and many other fields to it. This makes the term page looks a lot better. However, I cannot figure out how to let users comment on the term page itself. Is something like this doable in D7?

Should I convert to Drupal? Or something else?

I think I may already know my answer to this question considering that it's on a Drupal forum but let me describe the situation.

I'm a big fan of Drupal although I've never been able to master it. I understand how to set things. I understand the principles of the content types, permissions, menus, blocks, etc. I think I understand a lot however I do not have a handle on theming for Drupal. Despite my best efforts. I probably don't have a handle on a number of aspects of Drupal quite yet.

I currently work for a non-profit foundation that has many micro-sites and develops new ones often. I'm their new and only web developer and so what I propose will more or less be dependent on me. I'm seeking the best solution for them. They need to be able to communicate their messages across all their sites (or selected ones) as easily as possible. I have no experience dealing with multiple sites under Drupal so I'd like to know how easy it would be to do this.

For example they may want a newsfeed on all their micro-sites. Let's say there's micro-site A, B and C. They want to be able to write a post and decide that it'll appear on A and C. Then they'll write another post and decide it will only appear on B. And so forth. Is this possible with Drupal?

Upgrading Drupal 6.20 to Drupal 7.0 on GoDaddy.com

Alright I have successfully upgraded to Drupal 7 on my GoDaddy.com hosting/domains. It really was quite painless to do for me, but then again I am also a software engineer with over 20 years in the IS and/or IT industry. So I was well aware of the installation and/or upgrade processes necessary for each of the required components. But with GoDaddy's domain controls for content and database control it proved to be rather easy. But I have to admit it took me using these tools to gather a set of information first such as database username/password/path information.

Once I gathered all of this information, I then backed up the entire site using the file manager and then downloaded the zipped file to a local directory. Then on the first attempt, I made the mistake of just copying the new files over to the appropriate directories leaving all other files in place, then copying over the new versions of the modules I had installed previously (minus those no longer needed since the core now handles the functionality) and then going to the domain name to have it install using the existing information in the database.
