I'm about to start my third drupal site. My first one I just left the maintenance page up while I worked on it. The second on was a page for a client who's old site was hosted else where and I made the maintenance page simply redirect to the old site while I worked on it.
Now the new site I'm about to start, the client already has a pretty substantial site up and running. Lots of pages but static html for the most part. What do you guys recommend for leaving the old site up but allowing me to work on the new site in maintenance and do a quick switch when I'm done.
Hey I used to use the wordpress mp3 player module in drupal 6 to easily add a field to upload an audio file that is played in the mp3 player when the play button is pressed within the node. I was also able to easily add this field within views to create a view table listing songs with song name, sample (with audio player), price etc..
Now in Drupal 7, I have downloaded the media module to allow the upload of an audio file. But as of now in the node when the file name is clicked it takes the user to a separate page and Quicktime opens up to play it.
First off congratulations for the brand new Drupal 7.
Sorry for the dumb question, I'm a newbie and I'd like to place different RSS feeds from 3 different sources on different regions: footer first column, footer second column and footer third column and then display a few links on footer fourth column. Anyone knows how to do it?
It's also possible to add a copyright notice near "Powered by Drupal"?
Does D7 have all the enhancements of Pressflow, or what does Pressflow have that D7 doesn't?
We're about to rebuild a portion of our site using Drupal, which we've not used before. We already get a lot of traffic and need to make our new version highly scalable, so the scalability enhancements in Pressflow (and D7?) are of particular interest.
Is there a module (Durpal 7 compatible) that can help me bulk upload multiple images as separate nodes?
I found Plupload http://drupal.org/project/plupload but it seems that the D7 version is changed and only works with another module. I can't find that module.
I'm interested in building multiple choice quizzes where users test their knowledge and get a score at the end.
I am particularly interested to know whether this could be built with contributed modules such as content types, views, rules, poll etc rather than using the quiz module which doesn't seem like it's under active development any way (I may be wrong here but it's definitely not for d7 just yet).
Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
