I have:
one domain: site.com and four subdomains:
subdomain_1.site.com
subdomain_2.site.com
subdomain_3.site.com
subdomain_4.site.com
All the subdomains(1,2,3,4) reside under one ip address managed by Drupal 7 and the domain itself resides under another ip address, not under drupal.
All five sites are up and running.
Hi, I'm migrating a drupal website to a new server and I'm not familiar with drupal.
I uploaded the files and imported the database. Now I tried to edit the settings.php. Either I see a blank blank page or a message that there is something wrong with the settings.php.
Does anyone know how to edit the related lines correctly?
I read somewhere that creating the database was the hardest part with Drupal, it seems to be so.
I'm trying to install Drupal on Xampp, Linux, Debian - Mint (local machine)
I got all the way to the end of the permissions and then got this:
=============================
Database name field is required.
Database username field is required.
I got through the entire installation just fine. I specifically remember the information for the admin account that I put in during the final step in setup. However, when I enter this exact info, it refuses to let me log in, claiming that it doesn't recognize the username or password. FYI, I'm using 1and1 for my web hosting.
I'm moving a site for a new client from their current host to my server. I've gone through all the docs, searched for days on forums/google and tried everything but still cannot solve the issue.
I have uploaded all the site files, uploaded the database, but i am getting a 'unable to select database' error.
