Installing Drupal

now ，I can use view embed：

It OK!

BUT， HOW can I know the "argument name" of contextural fliter?
<?php echo views_embed_view('v1', $display_id = 'page',*arg1,*arg2); ?>

I am developing a website and I have decided that the domain name (www.originaldomain.com) should be changed to a new domain (www.newdomain.com). From what I have read, it seems this should be pretty easy. After struggling with it for a day, I am still waiting for a eureka moment, to no avail. How do I do this in the cleanest, long-term way?

I modify the view，but sometime maybe i modify the erro setting in (page or block..)，then it show wite page when I saved.

And I try to change the error setting，but no tip can show me where is wrong.
Even， I open this view again,and click the "cancel" no to save,it still show
"* All changes are stored temporarily. Click Save to make your changes permanent. Click Cancel to discard your changes."

finally ，I can do is delete it view...............

so，how to debug where is the err setting? or how to clean the err ?

I have been facing the following problem. When I try to access the DrupalGap simulator, I got the error "Failed to load the settings.js file in the app folder!".

My drupal can be successfully visited in http://localhost/drupal/.

The site_path in the file app/default.js is:
drupalgap.settings.site_path = 'localhost/drupal/mobile-application/';

I want to use my site as just a play-site to learn the ins and outs of Drupal and make a fully functioning site in Drupal. I am not a developer so I don't need to test code in a sandbox, at least not at this point.

I am just doing the installations now and right now there is no content in my site. What I want is to make my site currently not public but I want to be able to make it public when I decide I want to. Do you know how I can use my Drupal site just like I would if it was a public site but have it not be public?

I am new with drupal and i am working at an new website for my sportclub.
I want to get a closed area for my trainers so that we can post stuff there for them only.

Is this possible and how to do?
