Bio:

Bridging the language gap for over 14 years.

For me, a great translation is the difference between software that merely works and software you can work with intuitively. That's why I'm dedicated to making Drupal accessible to the German-speaking world — one string at a time.

🚀 The Numbers (as of Jan 2026):

  • 77,000 approved translations
  • 14+ years of continuous contribution
  • 5,000+ translations per year on average

I actively maintain the German translation for Drupal Core and the User Interface.

My recent focus includes high-impact projects like Drupal CMS (Starshot), AI Core, ECA, and Varbase.

Beyond strings, I help maintain the German Drupal User Guide to ensure documentation is just as accessible as the code.

With my Drupal modules Project Browser Localizer and Yoast SEO Localizer, I'm closing further linguistic gaps in Drupal — even where translation wasn't originally built in.

  • Project Browser Localizer: Project Browser's module descriptions weren't designed to be translatable at all, but that shouldn't stop users worldwide from understanding what a module does — Project Browser Localizer supports over 100 languages Drupal offers, not just German.
  • Yoast SEO Localizer: Translates a search engine optimization control for content, so the content editing form stays in one consistent language even when that control is in use.

Both modules follow Drupal's standards and can be extended with additional languages via localize.drupal.org.

PB Translation Hub — the software behind Project Browser Localizer — lets motivated translators contribute translations into all Drupal-supported languages.
