We require an experienced drupal developer / designer to implement organic groups into our current website.

Our current web site has not been designed using drupal but rather an alternative cms. Therefore we need to know what we want can be achieved. Basically all we need is a yahoo group type alternative for our own website where users can view and respond to email without having to visit our site.

This doesn’t necessary have to be in drupal. If you can suggest an alternative method which we could implement into an existing website please let me know.

We have just migrated our dbase (most of it) to a new Drupal site (from a coldfusion platform) and are rather excited but a bit lost! cant understand how to do lots of things, and its taking me too long to work things out

SHORT-TERM GOALS

I'm currently working on a large project that I need some assistance with, and have decided Drupal is far beyond my grasp of programming, although far superior of a product than any other. Basically heres a breakdown of the site, which can be temporarily located at http://www.secretentertainment.com/drupal

The sites features must include the following:

User profile pages, hopefully consisting of 3 different tabs displaying different sections of the profile. Each user must have their own gallery. (Currently uprofile installed)

Groups - very similar to Myspace groups, defining different genres of people, that they can individually socialize with eachother (basic Myspace functionality here) currently installed og

Forums - Would prefer a phpBB forum or a Vbulletin, but if drupal's forum can work as well, then im open-minded, but want lots of functionality with a pleasing, aesthetic appeal.

Classified Ads - would like Classified ads to be broken up into Larger Cities, sort of like Craigslist, but broken up individually by city into "Buy" or "Sell" fields, or atleast have it searchable by one or the other.

I want to set up two sites using Drupal however I need to discuss these projects with a designer / developer. Must be experienced. I believe that this projects will us standard Drupal plugins only. One site is a paid membership site and therefore this needs integrating. the other is a free more community based site.
