How to use login_destination module

Hello friends
i have one website in which i define some roles such as Teachers , Students etc
i create some pages for that
each and every role having different functionilty
which is defined in User module
now what happen whenever i login in as Teacher i will redirected to the functional page of teachers
like
Login As Teacher - Functions defined for Teachers
and i want like this
Login As Teacher - Page created by me for Teacher - Functions defined for Teachers

Question about Redirection

Dear All
i want to know that how we can redirect pages.
i have different types of users on my site like Teachers,Students,Parents etc
i design different types of pages for them
what i want that whenever they login on my website after login they found page which designed for them like if i register with Teachers privilages then whenever i logged in i got page which especially designed for Teachers and after that i can access all functionality of Teachers
right now i directly redirect to the functional page of Teachers
what i want is

drupal performs really slowly ...

hi, ive found that my drupal installation performs really slowly when i have quite a few modules installed and running - it also gives me mysql timeout errors and stuff like that. I went and changed my php timeout to 300 seconds in the php.ini file because it kept on timeing out at 30 seconds.

Q: Abuot the enable/disable modules system

I have heard that Drupal has a system or a method, that depending on the performance of the site it enable or disable some modules, where can i find info. about ?

cron job spikes load

I am running some cron jobs, mostly leech on my drupal. Many times a day when the cron jobs are scheduled the load on server spikes by 1000% and shuts down the sites.
Is there anything I can do to the cron.php -- or if you some can help me solve this problem for $

Symlinking /files or /files/images ?

Has anyone had any luck with symlinking (or hardlinking) just _parts_ of /files? (Symlinking all of /files seems to be trivially easy, and is done on multi-sites all the time but that won't work for us in this case)

The problem: we have a development environment, using subversion and multiple sandboxes, along with a production environment.
As we develop, we run multiple checkouts of code, and we need (or at least desire) to have the /files/images directory available WITHOUT copying it repeatedly...
