Converting to Drupal

hi friends im a newbie to drupal and i want to have a community website for my Church and i need help i want it to be just like Orkut does i'll be soooooooooooooooooo glad if i am helped in anyway possible
i just played around with OG but don't know how exactly it works please help!

I have some large text files 40 megs of text how can I import these to nodes or to the forum in smaller pages?

Does anyone know if Drupal has a news section that will pull the information over from my dragonfly... I'm still using it because Drupal is not ready yet

I just started with playing with Drupal, and so far I like what I see. I want to start by converting a very simple web site, and then extending it with all the power of Drupal.

To do this I need to include two very simple forms that the visitor can fill out and submit. I either need the information to be sent to me in an email, or be placed in a database. What's the easiest way to do this for a Drupal newbie?

If it matters, I've been playing with Drupal 6.4.

Very new to Drupal, I want to convert my Postnuke site to Drupal, I have around 7000 users and several modules installed including CMDownloads. I have over 3700 downloads including screenshots etc on the PN site.

What is the best route for me to go to do his.

I have backed up my existing database but need some advice on the best route to do this!

I have been debating whether or not to re-write our website recently. It is a phpBB forum, where users submit their artwork as attachments, or stories/other prose as posts. It's been trudging along on the phpBB code base for a good number of years now, and it is my feelings that phpBB simply isn't enough - the attachment functionality is limited to say the least.
