Drupal XMLRPC to non Drupal site

I connected a Drupal site to a non Drupal site using XMLRPC. The non Drupal site will be converted to Drupal in the future. I found a really easy way to connect that allows for the future conversion. here is the one minute version. I can post more details if someone else wants to perform the same trick.

Dummies guide to importing a blog from wordpress please!!!

I've just spent the best part of a working day trying to find a guide for NON-TECHIE folks about importing a simple blog from Wordpress 2.5 into a simple blog in Drupal 6.5.

I'm absolutely shocked that it's been a very frustrating and disappointing search.

So here's my rant:

New to drupal and need some advice

how should i address the following error that happened during the installation process

* warning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver at "localhost" port 25, verify your "SMTP" and "smtp_port" setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in C:\xampp\htdocs\Drupal 2\drupal-6.4\includes\mail.inc on line 193.

Advanced Menu Features

Hi!

I'm just converting a couple of sites to Drupal and all seems simple enough. The only problem I have at the moment is the following:

I'm working partly with a e-learning site that's in need of a user login, so far no problems at all. The problem is that the education for the site is in 10 parts and part 1 should be "disabled" until the user has past the exam for part 1.

At the moment I'm using the Profile module to allow for custom field for the user profile and Webforms to do the "exam" parts.

Considering a Migration.

Hello,

I was unsure which section to post this in so went with Converting. Feel free to move it to the relevant forum :)

I run a site called http://www.brap.fm which is an SMF Tinyportal site. It started life as a Joomla / SMF site but with the recent legality hoo-ha between Joomla and SMF and the bridge, we were forced to ditch Joomla and look at an alternative CMS system.

The time has come to take a proper look at our site and settle on something which will be futureproof, easy for the site contributors to use and of course, will look amazing :)

It's a bit of a nightmare navigating around to be honest. We're primarily an Internet radio station but we do have that extra element of introducing new electronic based music to new listeners and these elements should be the main focus. With that I was thinking about using Drupal. Especially when these kinds of sites are using Drupal!

So I need to know if Drupal has these kinds of modules available:

1. A Calendar / Schedule which displays the shows airing that day and links to a DJ profile page. That profile page would then have things like links to their charts, mixes, photos etc.
2. A Gallery (does Menalto Gallery play well with Drupal?)
3. A working, stable bridge to phpBB 3 or SMF
4. A file manager for people to download previous show archives
