Here's my situation. I'm migrating an older perl based site to drupal. There are various sections (ie. forum, directory, photo archive, etc) on the site and, to make my life easier, I'm migrating one section at a time.
I've imported all my users from the old site into drupal. Next, I setup the drupal services module so that when new users register on the old site, they are also added to the drupal site. So the user databases are all synched up.
I am working on a large site where the end goal is to have it in Drupal. Unforutnetly we have a hard deadline to have the site up so our current plan of attack is to get the entire site working staticly then start to migrate pieces of functionality over to drupal as time allows.
Any thoughts on this process? Do you think it will be easy to incorporate a primarily static site with bits and pieces of drupal functionality?
Where would the majority of the static files live, inside a theme folder, or in the web root.
I have a site (created with Dreamweaver and Lasso) which I am converting to Drupal. I am copying over pages into the Drupal admin and building menus and all that is going well. What I need to do now is make use of the database from the other site (700 publications, 600+ glossary entries, 200 events) in the drupal site.
Is there a way to do this without a lot of custom coding and module building.
HELLO every body,
my name is Bikens and i'm new to drupal. I want to create a plugin in php. It will take the authetification information user (username and password, email ...) to my website and with a click to go to my website drupal, it must verify the authentification in drupal, if exist, the user connect to website drupal without form authentification, if not, create this frofil in drupal so as to connect to drupal automatically.
I read a lot of documents on drupal wedsite all the script i use to connect to drupal failed.
I've done some searching here and via Google but can't find an answer
Is there a way in Drupal to allow users to select the content, by taxonomy, that they see on the site?
I have a wide variety of content on my current blog and one feature that I get requests for is to allow users to block out content they are not interested in
