Problem converting old forum posts to drupal nodes!!!!

Hello every1,

I have to remake an old project of mine for a none government organization, concerning ecology. I have retrieved all the data needed concerning the users and convert them to drupal users with 100% success.

The second step was to convert the forum posts to drupal forum. I have followed the drupal database structure and converted the forums, forum topics, and the posts with great success too.

But when I visited the forum topics to check them out, there was a strange reaction.

Creating a Video Network in Drupal

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Drupal and I apologise if questions I am asking have been covered elsewhere. I have restrained from posting for a few weeks now but despite buying and reading a book on Drupal 6 and spending some time playing with Drupal itself I am still a little confused as to the best practices for creating a Drupal site.

I am working on a Video Network site and it seems Drupal has many of the community features we would like. The site will be split into channels, each channel containing one or more video's. Each channel will also contain a channel related blog and event calender. I am wondering the best way to acheive this relationship between channels/video's and blogs.

For example, should I create a channel content type? How best should I then link calenders and events to each channel? How can I tell a calender or blog to be related to a specific channel? What is the best way to link video's to channels? Would I do that with tags?

The book I have only seems to cover setting up a drupal site and working with basic content types. I know I will need to use the views module and CCK + some of the other social networking sites but coming from Ez Publish I have still yet to fully understand how Drupal handles all these relationships.

For example, I would like channels to be viewable as

www.sitename.com/channel/channelname/

videos as

Thumbnail included with Teaser in Views using Image Attach?

I've started toying around with Drupal to get a small town newspaper's website dynamic.

I installed the Image module and was able quickly get a thumbnail to show up along with my teaser on the front page with Image Attach...

But what I'm really gunning for is to group news stories by taxonomy term (like news, sports, etc) and each story's thumbnail show up beside the teaser using Views. I've figured out grouping things by taxonomy, but I'm at a brick wall as far as having my attached images show up as thumbnails in my View block.

Looking for a node relationship solution

Still looking for a solution here. I need a sibling-sibling relationship not really a top-down relationship between nodes.

What's the best way to...

I can't seem to find a module that does the following:

- allow my clients to login and ONLY have access to an area where they can see pdf reports
- an email feature that emails my clients immediately when I post their invoices and reports

Any suggestions.

How can I do this? (Drawing included!)

Let me start off by saying I love Drupal. I put it on my personal site to test the waters and it's fantastic.

I'm a web designer by trade and need something powerful to build large scale sites in no time flat. Drupal seems like the perfect solution for what I need.

Now, I'm a bit curious as to how flexible this thing is. I drew a picture last night in class (Discrete Math SUCKS) with all the different blocks I'd need and the questions I have.

Now that that is listed, let me rewrite the questions I have.

1) Where can I put the admin user links? We don't need a registration system, but I took the user nav out of my site once and it completely messed me up big time! How can I "hide" it through this design? It wasn't designed with any kind of user integration at all, and Drupal needs it on the theme (which I thought was weird, the admin panel isn't directly "split" from the main site).

2) How can I make blocks change per page? Do I create a node? Could I have two nodes on a single page? IE a header node and a content node? Both would need to be written before a full page could be published.
