Need help migrating your site to Drupal?

I need help migrating my huge Mambo 4.5 site to Drupal 6

I know that there are articles out their explaining what needs to be done... I have seen the one located http://drupal.org/node/80195 and it is just making me dizzy. I have thousands of content items in Mambo and I'm in desperate need to either Hack a now defunct CMS into doing what I need it to do or move to Drupal6 which claims to do it already.

I am desperate and in need of guidance.

PostreSQL to MySQL - Moving the site

I am helping a non-profit move hosting providers. The new hosting provider only supports MySQL and the old site is in PostreSQL. Does anyone know of a good migration path for this? Possibly a script?

A complex CCK dilemma.

Hello, all.

Thank you for taking the time to read!

I want to use Drupal over Joomla for a situation I need to sort out.

I want users to signup and submit invoices (we can call these nodes with CCK fields). The invoices must contain a file (CCK - no prob), how many of a product is sold (Qty field), an available product (CCK - dropdown node reference to another content type. These available products have their own CCK fields. One is points, another is description, etc.).

Companies using Drupal for business-critical functions?

Hi everyone,

My company is in the process of choosing a solution for replatforming our main site, which is going to be a pretty big project. We're using Drupal for a smaller, simpler publishing site, and Drupal is now on the table for the main site. Some of the other stakeholders have asked what I think is a perfectly valid question that I don't have a ready answer for, so I'm hoping some of you can help me with this one: Are there any medium- to large-sized businesses using Drupal for their main revenue-producing sites?

Preemptive or Suspended User Import

I am migrating from an independent company who has hosted and run our site through a proprietary CMS, since years before I was hired to this task. The CMS is proprietary, so I can't import the database into Drupal.

Now I am stuck, because I have been able to migrate everything but the user-created content (such as forums, photo galleries, etc.).

My idea was to use their database to create a CSV of all the members and their information, then import it using User Import. That would be successful if not for two factors:

Migration Path - Drupal to the Current Build

I am volunteering for a non-profit organization and need some advice. They currently receive free hosting from a company that only allows command line access to the current server. However, they want to migrate to host gator for multiple reasons. The current site is Drupal 6.8 and the destination is version 6.13. What is the best migration path to move this site? Does anyone know where to find a good guide? Thanks in advance for any tips! I would really like to help these folks out.

Cheers,

JL
