Hi I have been using dotCMS v1.7 for some time and running a site successfully..
Now,For some reasons, I wish to migrate from dotCMS to Drupal and thus I went thru Drupal handbook on migrating ( http://drupal.org/handbook/migrating )
But couldn't find a page to figure out the exact steps abd describing methods that people have to use to migrate from dotCMS to Drupal's latest version !
A friend made a prototype web site for me using drupal (and Kohana and obviously php/mysql). He has done a great job, but he does not have bandwidth for a few more enhancements.
He made a sql dump file which I moved to a new datacenter.
From there, I created a tempDB (mysql tempDB < XXX.sql, where XXX>sql is the dumped file).
Hey guys, I have moved my website to Wordpress as ive realised Wordpress has security flaws after being hacked 5 times in total.
My site is a news website with a team of editors, Drupal seems perfect for us to use. I tried Joomla but it was really confusing for myself and my writers to use.
I was hoping some of you Drupal users would be able to help, There were some plugins on Wordpress that I was using that I hope I can find similar versions on Drupal as modules.
I am having trouble with styling my navigation.
I have added some CSS classes that I have in my CSS to the PHP code and that works. The look of the Navigation is exactly what I am looking for except for the spacing between the links. The spacing is very large and I have been trying with Firebug to find where I need to change the CSS and what is affecting it.
I don't have the site on the net because I am developing it, so the best I might be able to do is take some screen shots and post them if you need to see visually the issue.
Before I begin this project I'd like to get your opinion on whether Drupal is the right option for the site.
I'm building the marketing side of a website using Drupal with the standard stuff, contact, blog and static pages. Easy enough, I would prefer to use Drupal over anything else for this. Where my brain farts and I'm not sure if Drupal is right for me is the Branch sites.
Let me try to explain this so I don't confuse (myself included).
mysite.com is the main site, on this sites there will be a locations page mysites.com/locations - the locations page will have a google map with all the different locations though out the country my company has (240 of them). When the user finds the location closest to them they will have the option to get directions OR go to a Branch website mysite.com/locations/somewhere. Also, on the main locations page I will have a feed of the 5 newest blog posts pulled from all of the location sties.
The subject might be wrong but I will explain - I have the Typo3 site which I want to convert to Drupal. In typo3 I had a module which would take info from the WebCalendar (http://www.k5n.us/webcalendar.php) and place it into content.
