Need some module suggestions

So...my site is running Postnuke/Zikula, which IMHO is a dying CMS. I'm going to be spending the summer converting my site to Drupal (it's a very large site, with a lot of custom modules, many of which I'm going to have to rewrite from scratch). There's a handful of modules that are surely available in Drupal, but either there's so many choices that I'm overwhelmed, or I'm not finding anything.

Please be patient with me if any of these are in the core -- I'm still learning my way around Drupal. :) If you have any module suggestions for the below, I'm all ears.

- a Reviews module. I just need something where members can submit a review of anything. (like, "My review of the London production of Hair" -- so not tied to a specific product base or anything; just reviews of anything) Nice if it had categories, and star ratings as well.

- a gallery. Yes, I know there are many, but I am overwhelmed by all the choices. I specifically need the ability to make certain folders not viewable based on account type, as well as the ability for any member to submit images (and I'd really love the ability for users to "own" their own folders, and only they can submit to that specific folder). My site gallery is thousands and thousands of images big, so it has to be something that can handle a complex structure and a lot of data. Ability for members to comment is a must.

Integrating jquery easyslider with jquery lightbox in Drupal?

Hi guys. I know HTML, CSS, a little PHP and a bit of jquery, so I can use plugins.

I have used these skills to create a website that uses jquery easy slider with jquery lightbox. Essentially this showcases my portfolio. The site works great using MAMP.

Now, I'm trying to integrate this site into Drupal. But i noticed that all Drupal sites have the same format: left column, right column etc.

But my goal is to use my HTML and CSS skills to create a template from scratch, or use the same template that i have already created for my site.
