netfirms is my webhost and i've been trying to install drupal 5 in itwithout success.. i tried the step-by step given in the forum but it doesnt work, cos the instructions are for drupal4. for instance they make references to a folder named database which exists in drupal 4 and not 5... has someone installed drupal 5 in netfirms..let me know.. thanks.
Hello again, enough praise cannot be given to Dries, his support staff, and the community for making such a wonderful product called Drupal. I also, want to join the community and generate income for myself from Drupal open source. Also, I plan to give back to the community ANY WAY POSSIBLE.
My Dilema is as follows:After doing extensive reading, and learning the Drupal system, I came to the conclusion that the best way to "sell" Drupal is, as a service. Namely, as a hosting service, ala bryght.com
i need host that can support the values post_max_size 30M and upload_max_filesize 30M - cuz i need to be able to upload movies with 30MB size.
Can someone pls help me which hosting company should i choose ?
and please dont tell me how to override these values with .htaccess or php.ini or ini_set - i dont need to override - i just need a new host that support 30MB HTTP upload :)
I just posted this as a reply in a different thread, and now I am thinking it is actually more a question... I am sorry to spam, but here it goes:
I have a problem with my VPS, and I thought this could be the place to warn about this issue to people considering a VPS, and ask for advice at the same time.
My Hosting company is amen.es (I am starting to regret) and my VPS is a Linux machine with a MySQL database in a shared server (because the one installed on my server was too old) and Plesk 8.
