Network Solutions is unable to host Drupal sites for at least two reasons:
1) PHP is run as a cgi script and this causes the Apache modules to act atypically
2) PHP does not allow cron jobs, so cron.php will not run
This is a shame because Network Solutions is great host for those that value customer support. Network Solutions is playing around with the idea of virtual private servers, but do not yet offer them.
Hi, I am not currently with Dreamhost, for the record. I am shopping for a new host for my 3 and soon to be four different sites. For my own non profit, i do not yet have a site. I was on TechSoup and saw they had a link that said dreamhost is offering free hosting for non profits, meaning 501c(3). they said they are offering a single strictly business account, i thought it would be some 6-10 dollar a month thing, according to the link, this strictly business account is the $79/MONTH!!! I just found this out today. my mind was spinning looking at the bandwidth! Our nonprofit can make all of the plans we had for our community services come true! I dont know if i will move all of my site to dreamhost, but if this is correct, i would be a FOOL not to put the non-profit on dreamhost. for a free $80/month hosting, i will deal with ANY problem. If anyone know anymore about this, please share.
It seems that the #attributes is not being processed, and this makes it impossible to add a different class to it.
I need the different class since other form element, such as select box, has the class "form-item" as well.
I'm very new to Drupal and had never even installed a database before putting my Drupal site online last week. I friend of mine recommended Dotster hosting because they were running a promotion (25% off through the end of the month with the coupon code: edealinfo20), and I nabbed 2 years of hosting (the Standard Linux Package) for around $140.
I got a little confused about how to configure the FTP for my domain name at first, but received fantastic support with their 24/7 live chat (turns out you have to create a "Web Space" for each domain before you can create an FTP account). The whole process of purchasing the hosting package and getting the FTP up and running took less than an hour, even with my need for a bit of support.
If anyone hosts on well-known MediaTemple (mt) hosting at Grid plan, could you please leave a comment about technical issues within Drupal maintainance there.
I'd like to port a huge web portal with 3000 nodes and high traffic, recently I'm suffer from a small DB server capacity (high limited CPU and limited requests) at shared hosting. The main bottle neck is a cache table that growth over 600Mb weekly and dramatically slow down site work within 502, 503 errors and MySQL "server" collapse.
