Recent experiences with modwest.com

Anyone care to share any recent experiences with modwest.com's shared hosting plans? Generally their service and support is great. Their performance seems to be suffering lately for 6-8 of my clients. I've upgraded a few to their newer mysql 5 server but they appear to be slower than in the past.

Anyone?

We provide a real IP that can be used in the global internet.

It`s mean you can make good server that will have enough disk space and CPU speed and run Drupal at home.

My experience switching from dreamhost to AN Hosting (midphase)

My experience switching from dreamhost to AN Hosting (midphase)

Dreamhost does not appear to want drupal sites.
My site is not a high traffic site, especially during the 6 month development phase, so taking 30 seconds to load a single page was completely unacceptable, to the point that basic site maintenance was impossible. My personal site is still at dreamhost but is a wordpress site, so it is much less taxing on the server. I cannot recommend dreamhost for anyone running drupal, no matter how much optimization or caching is in place. I wanted to like dreamhost. Everything seemed to be run professionally. My site was initially faster than my previous host (1&1) but as time went on, it just got worse, and worse. I guess they don't want drupal users as customers.

Moving to AN Hosting, AN appears to be owned by midphase.

Very Spotty - Fast/Slow Load Times - Dreamhost PS

I run a site called the Daily Paul at www.dailypaul.com. It is Drupal 5.1, hosted with Dreamhost. I've been with them for 3 years - always very happy, until earlier this month, when Dreamhost had a spate of downtime. The site was on a shared server, running beautifully - one day (the day of the Iowa Straw Poll), the site handled 24,000 visitors / 50,000+ page views -- on a shared server, without a hitch! It was beautiful!

But after the generalized problems that Dreamhost had (they got hacked, and then their network went down several times), I switched to their new "Private Server" hoping that would solve the problem http://www.dreamhostps.com/

Initially, the site seemed fine - running lickety split - lightening fast. Then I noticed things were back to like before. Today, was the slowest day ever. It was taking me anywhere from 10 - 30 seconds to load pages - any pages. My hosting provider said that everything is fine - loading up fast, no problem. Likewise, host-tracker.com says the pages are loading up in 1-2 seconds:

Drupal host with fckeditor

Presently we host with a .net cms provider that has integrated the fck editor.

The fckeditor is one of the primary features we like.

I'm looking for recommendations on a host that has support for the fckeditor in Drupal.

Thanks,

1and1

I just had to speak up. I started with 1and1 back when they first offered the free hosting to try it out. At that time it was ideal, I was very low on funds and cutting down some features of my site made it work there. I had few technical problems, but those I did have I was able to speak to a tech and get resolved immediately. Back then it was like the tech support line went into the back office where the technicians actually worked. Of course I was switched to the $59.99/3 months plan after the free period, which I have been trying to switch off for about 9 months now.
