namecheap "ultimate" hosting plan notes and assessment ...

Right now domain registrar namecheap has a deal on their "ultimate" multi-domain shared hosting for $30.00 /yr for the first year, and $129 /yr thereafter:

https://www.namecheap.com/hosting/shared.aspx

The deal seemed worth checking out to test for others/clients who may need/want something like this.

I thought it might be good as an emergency backup location.

New Acquia Interface--Server Information?

To all who host their site on Acquia--Does anyone know what happened to the information on the server page in the new interface?

I used to be able to see the current Memory, ECU, and Storage % with graphs on the server page. With the new site interface, this is no longer there... where can I find this information?

It's kind of important, as I need to know when my site is approaching its limits...

I've tried Acquia forums, but they're just dead, and I don't have a high enough level of customer support to use their help line...

Site doesn't work now

about 10 days ago, my site was fine. Now the page loads only partially and when I try to log in, i get this message (below). My client doesn't make edits much, so I'm sure I have outdated drupal. I'm not sure how to proceed to fix it - especially since I can't access it!

Any ideas?

Recoverable fatal error: Argument 2 passed to SelectQuery::fields() must be of the type array, null given, called in /home/cc9028/public_html/includes/entity.inc on line 284 and defined in SelectQuery->fields() (line 1320 of /home/cc9028/public_html/includes/database/select.inc).

why so many horrific hosting services ...

It seems that short of a few of the very best, dedicated server and VPS, companies, web hosting users constantly report a litany of nightmares trying to use hosting service companies.

Short of $100+ per month for a reputable company like liquidweb, what is going on with hosting companies that they so often operate with so little technical competence?

practice environment recommendations

Hello Drupal Community,
My employer will be migrating our company website from Dreamweaver to Drupal 7 in the next few months. At one point the web team set up a "practice" environment for employees who wanted to use tutorials and get a feel for Drupal. Recently they removed this feature, and now I'm not sure what to do. They recommended trying Acquia or Pantheon, but as a total Drupal newbie, I am a little intimidated by all their options and trial offers. Any recommendations from the Community would be most appreciated...
Thank You!
