Hey! i have been hosting my drupal site in ANhosting for 4 month now. Its a complex drupal site with tons of modules and heavily uses the database. Support is great but the page its too slow (it takes like 20-30 seconds for loading a page when you are logged-in).
Im now considering buying 1 node from VPS.net, try virtual private servers perfomance and increase nodes from there.
After a nightmarish week trying to get Drupal working on a VPS I've been looking for a new hosting company. Maybe I'm illiterate but reading this forum isn't making the decision any better. Can someone write a script that counts how many times a hosting company has been named in this forum and add one if the comment about it is good and subtract one if the comment is bad? Then form a table with the information? (It's a joke.)
I think if someone did that, from what I can glean, hotdrupal.com or linode.com would come out on top.
I have created my site in local host with the help of drupal 6 and now dont know to upload the same site in online with my hoster. So any one please let me know the procedure for doing it. Before you could help me i like to thank you,
Could someone make an overview of server resources required by Drupal or does such an overview allready exist (not server requirements like PHP, Apache, MySQL, diskspace...)?
When looking for a shared hosting provider for Drupal-websites, it is important to find the server resource limitations of each provider.
Therefore I want to find out what server resource limitations may be relevant, and which values are recommended for Drupal.
