I started a Modern Greek (el / hellenic) translation of Drupal. I hope to finish it within the week.

If you know Modern Greek I would like you to review my translation and/or collaborate. if you are available feel free to send me mail. my email is [==NOSPAM==] nsk [--AT--] wikinerds [__POINT__] org [_-NOSPAM-_]

When I will finish the translation I will submit the pot files.

How do I use the locale module?

I'm preparing the conversion of a site (all HTML flat files currently), which exists in multiple languages (currently: English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Italian, Bengali, Hindi, Portuguese, Farsi, Swedish)... of which I plan to do the major languages first. I have been eagerly awaiting 4.5 because of the locale module, so that I can distribute PO files out to my translators.
However, I am a bit perplexed as to how it works.

Status of the german translation?

Hi,

can somebody please elaborate on the current status of the german translation of Drupal?
There is no de/ directory in the translations/ directory of the contrib CVS.

I will provide chinese translation

I will provide the chinese Translation file in .po for 4.5.0
how can I contribute it?

Localization: how do I install a language?

Hi,

I am looking for a french translation of the drupal interface. Where can I get one?

How do I incorporate it in my installation?

What's the difference between the .po and the contributions/translations/.mysql files? Which one do I need: fr.po or fr_CA.mysql?

NOTE: I don't want to create the translation if it already exists.

Thanks!

translation of modules

must say I love the Drupal way as opposed to the *nuke things. One thing I miss, though, (among other things ;-) ) is a way to translate/localize my website on a module basis. I started translating most of the base site to my native language (da). No biggie, a few hours of work for the non-admin parts, great feature that translation is so userfriendly! Problem is, when I install new modules, the list of nontranslated terms seem to bloat. (Which isn't a problem as such and actually quite understandable.)
