Translations

Hi to everyone,

I'm currently realizing the Italian translation, on xxx-module.po files, and I read the it.po file in the attic should be automatically generated by a script, but I didn’t found any instruction on how (or by whom) this script is run.

Due to many fuzzy strings in Italian translation, I’d like to produce soon a mid-work attic update. Can you please give me some tips?

I am looking for a CMS to use for a website I am building for a small town in Japan. I have used Drupal for my personal site for the past few months and have been very pleased with it, so I decided to try and use it for this new site. Drupal offers everything I need, but I noticed that all of the links in the Admin Navigation block are not translated into Japanese, even though I have the default langauge set to Japanese. This wouldn't work for me since the end-users don't speak/read/understand English. I need all of the links everywhere translated.

Dear friends,

the updating of the Italian translation to support Drupal 4.5 is started. I'm writing this post to collect all the information on the development status.

At the moment, we have many contributed translation in large it.po files, while the new translation policy foresee the translation of many smaller modules, to be joined together in a lather moment.

I started translating smaller modules and put results in cvs server, while finishing comprehending documentation and who-does-what. If someone want to contribute, please contact me (see mail in CVS server) end specify which module he wants to contribute.

Nota per i non anglofoni: questo topic serve per fare il punto sullo stato della traduzione di Drupal in italiano. Nel momento in cui scrivo, esiste una traduzione parziale che può essere trovata nel CVS repository: il file it.po contiene una traduzione più completa ma meno aggiornata, i moduli xxx-module.po contengono traduzioni parziali (relative ai singoli moduli) e al momento più aggiornate

I'm interested in translating Drupal 4.5 brochure into Catalan. Is there any kind of source file to work with?

I have added this to the translation guide but thought that it might give more immediate help here. Poedit will produce errors when using the Drupal pot files if the plural settings are not set. You set this by going to Catalog-> settings and at the bottom of the dialog and in the expression that fits your language. So here those for most languages:
