Dear friends,

the updating of the Italian translation to support Drupal 4.5 is started. I'm writing this post to collect all the information on the development status.

At the moment, we have many contributed translation in large it.po files, while the new translation policy foresee the translation of many smaller modules, to be joined together in a lather moment.

I started translating smaller modules and put results in cvs server, while finishing comprehending documentation and who-does-what. If someone want to contribute, please contact me (see mail in CVS server) end specify which module he wants to contribute.

Nota per i non anglofoni: questo topic serve per fare il punto sullo stato della traduzione di Drupal in italiano. Nel momento in cui scrivo, esiste una traduzione parziale che può essere trovata nel CVS repository: il file it.po contiene una traduzione più completa ma meno aggiornata, i moduli xxx-module.po contengono traduzioni parziali (relative ai singoli moduli) e al momento più aggiornate

Italian translation of Drupal 4.5 is allmost complete (only a few helps left). Feedback on translation quality by translation users are welcome (you can use www.drupalitalia.org forum). If everithing's ok, I think we can freeze 4.5 translation in december, and then start updating to 4.5.1

La traduzione italiana di Drupal 4.5 è priaticamente completa (restano da tradurre alcuni help). Chi avesse scelto di utilizzare questa traduzione dovrebbe essere così gentile da darmi un feedback sulla qualità e segnalarmi eventuali errori, utilizzando per esempio il forum di www.drupalitalia.org . Se non ci saranno eventuali problemi, dovremmo essere in grado di produrre un freeze della traduzione 4.5 entro dicembre, per poi passare ad aggiornarla a Drupal 4.5.1.
