Danish Translations

Hej/Hi.

The status page shows that the Danish translation is broken! How can we fix this? Are there any Danish people out there who is thinking about doing a translation?

Best regards

Allan

Afrikaans translation

The Afrikaans translation is complete, but I am wondering whether someone has an official list of all the different language names in Afrikaans.

Most of my educated guesses should be pretty accurate, because I have a natural feeling for this, and applied some of Afrikaans' grammar rules, but there may be some mistakes, especially for languages that I am not very familiar with. I tried searching on Google but with no success.

My dictionary is not of much use...

Any hints?

Translations for Drupal 4.6

According to our fancy status page only a small number of translations is available for Drupal 4.6. I've been asked by Dries to urge translators to branch translation projects for 4.6. The translations might not fit in all cases but having a small set of translated strings is better than no translated strings. The more common strings also do not change that often between versions. If there are any problems, add comments to this post and I'll see what I can do.

Introduction:-
Like a chameleon, a translator must be able to quickly adapt to his new environment and to slide into any text. He must have a perfect aim for precision and a ferocious appetite for accuracy. He must look in different directions at the same time and must always be on the lookout for the best way to say things.

The translator's job is to make sure that his work reflects the idea behind the original text with almost perfect accuracy. That's the goal.

Unfortunately, each language has its own vagaries which the translator must learn to deal with. That is why it is important to leave your text in the care of professional translators to make sure that the job is done diligently, confidentially, and in due time.

To assure you that your translated brochures, catalogues, websites and commercial correspondence present the best possible image for your organization, we apply strict quality procedures to the choice of language expert at your disposal: translations are done by native specialist translators, and are proofread by other native professionals, both working in your original format. All our double-checked translations come with an exclusive double guarantee to ensure their quality. And our Xpress option means that you always gain in reactivity by getting any urgent projects translated within 48 hours, 24 hours, or even the same day in just a few hours.

The Drupal projects needs Scripty

Hi,

More than half a year ago, I contacted the Dutch translation team of Drupal to offer help. I asked them to delegate some .po files to me by sending the latest versions via email. I do this to prevent double work and to prevent translating strings that are changed in CVS.

Badly enough, I didn't received the requested files :-( As a result, I was not motivated anymore to translate Drupal (and I started translating other software that are more translator friendly).

Starting new translation - need help!

Hi!
I am attempting to add new translation (Ukrainian). We actually have mamy *.po files ready and need to submit them.

I started project http://drupal.org/node/21972 which does not show anywhere and I cannot submit issues as well. I had already sent CVS write request as well.

Who can suggest what I am doing wrong and why this project does not show in translations list?

Thanks in advance

Natalie
