I am working on the Hindi translation, if anyone is doing the same, we can colaborate.
I have taken the .po file from the drupal site and adding word translations to it. But more work needs to be done. So if anyone else is interested, please come forward and lets help each other.
Once I'm done, I'll submit the po file to the group.
Hi,
I am in the process of creating a website with support for English and Hindi. I understand that by creating appropriate .po file, all the text that Drupal uses would be translated. But want about text that I create as an admin? For example, I need to create the name of the forum in the two languages, similarly, the menu names should also be different based on the choosen language by the logged in user.
Hello there,
I was just installing Drupal and everything works flawlessly and just perfect. However i noticed that there is no support for RTL (Right To Left) languages. Is there anyway to fix that? a theme or a module or anything? i searched in themes but couldn't find anything that was designed for RTL... maybe i missed something, anyhelp would be appreciated.
Thanx :)
Can somebody please point me to a reference for solving my problem below? Searching the forums or handbooks seems not to return anything helpful.
I have a 4.7 install for a website where locale.module worked just as expected - added a second language and start translating by using "manage strings" tab.
Working through quite some modules I translated a few to German. But I don't have a clue how or where to submit that stuff... I sent the CCK translation to one of the listed authors but haven't heard anything back yet. Some more translations are being tested yet, but once that's done I'd like to contribute them to the various projects. Could you please fill me in?
Hi,
I created the .PO files for an Indian language and was up and running with my site. A day later, all the articles turned into glibrish and I'm not able to see the original language. Interestingly I can see the proper characters when I type and preview them (in the forum module). But when they show up in a block or when I try to read them, they turn into glibrish.
If anyone has any idea whats going on and how to solve it, I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks,
Anupam.
