Translations

I finished translating durpal 6.x and I want to add this translation to Khmer translation in download page but when I try I got the messages:

Submit Project release

ERROR: There are no CVS tags for this module that do not already have a release associated with them.

To create a release, you must first create either a new CVS tag on one of the existing branches for this project, or you must add a new CVS branch.

Once you have created a tag or branch that should be used for your new release, try pressing the Retry link to continue.

Thought I'd ask here before reporting this as a 'language switcher' bug to be fixed in core.

1)
First a question, if I have installed the i18n module, does it replace the core language switcher block? If so, then this is a bug with the i18n language switcher, not the core one. I'd then also need to test the core one to see if it contains the same bug.

2)
Now the bug:

trying to translate a module using translation template extractor
extracted a .pot file
downloaded poEdit
however .pot is not and extension poEdit recognizes
how do I progress from here?

Just now getting into research and reading on l10n and i18n for Drupal 6.2 and reading through the documentation I did not find it mentioned. Is one standard being utilized or is it currently mixed standards? (Apologies for such a basic question but with the search function down it was taking too long to find it out quickly.)

i used after instaling i18 and CCK create a new content type "article" and i used this fetch :

I'm using the i18n module and successfully translated content (blog entries and pages), however, when I translate the interface (Menu Items and Blocks) they do not appear when I switch to Spanish (when I go to http://www.intertik.com/es )

Any help will be truly appreciated!
