New Formula 1 website

Hello

To kick-off the new Formula 1 season we have launched a new F1 on-line magazine. You can find the site here: http://www.f1-pitlane.com.

The site is Drupal 5.7 with CCK, Views and some other modules plus a couple of bespoke modules.

The site design has been finalised but some of the content (links etc) still need updating. Please have a look and let me know if you have any feedback.

I have started writing up a detailed case study that I'll post in a month or so.

What is Just.com launches with Drupal 5.7

Hello everyone. I just launched a focused community site called What is Just (http://www.whatisjust.com). The free service allows visitors to add cases for review to the court of public opinion, and to give justice to submitted cases. Registered visitors can add cases, vote and leave comments.

The site is hosted at MediatTemple.net using their low-end GridServer account. The (GS) allowed me to very quickly get provisioned, installed and running, with easy e-mail, database, cron and administrative setup, and they include Urchin.

The site uses the Deco theme with slight modifications to the style.

I use CCK and Views, with only two content type defined: Pages and Cases. Additional modules include:

* Administration Menu (for tidy administration)
* Link (for the cases)
* Tracker
* Faceted search: used as the primary search/browse tool. I use two vocabularies as facets, Filed under and Keywords, fixed and free-tagging respectively.
* Term display: disables the display of all tags, simplifying the display and also forcing the user to use the faceted search metaphor consistently
* Autosave: as a user convenience
* BuyMeABeer: it's an ad-free site
* DiggThis, Feedbuttons, Servicelinks, Forward, Share: all to help promote the site. Share provides an elegant alternative to links in the node
* Flag content: to monitor the community

Converted Personal Cross Country Trip Travelogue Site to Drupal

Greetings Drupalers - I've recently completed a conversion of a personal travelogue site documenting 9 summers of cross country travel through the USA and Canada in a small motor home with a family of 4. (My first "real" Drupal site)

It's called Lolo's Extreme Cross Country RV Trips at:
http://www.cross-country-trips.com

As I'm purely an amateur, the original site used an Access database and .asp pages done using Dreamweaver, but this showed it's limits when spammers arrived.
