Post installation

I am trying to make a connection to another database in a block, but that is killing the drupal connection, so the page displays errors after the block. I am using mysql. Any suggestions on how to keep two separate connections?

the logs show the following information:
"user error: Column count doesn't match value count at row 1

I would like to know how I could modify the display of the taxonomy browser. For example, I would like to display it on 2 colums, so the page would be less large.

Is there a way to integrate a css in it ? Or create tables with cells ? I'm not a php/html expert, anyway.

I've got 4.5.0RC installed, using the Chameleon pure theme (but I've tried it using Bluemarine and get the same result). I've just configured the first vocabulary (non-hierarchical, only three terms). I want to set a menu (in secondary terms) to display these three terms along with their description.

I would like to know if exists a method for using one only locale table (or database) for multiple sites.
