Front Page "500 Internal Server Error" after 6=>7rc3 upgrade [FIXED]

[UPDATE] There was a block on the troublesome pages with php code in it that no longer worked, so I fixed the problem for now by deactivating the block.

After upgrading from 6 to 7rc3 I have a "500 Internal Server Error" on the site front page (http://mydrupalsite.com/) and on the forum front page (http://mydrupalsite.com/forum).

Top 5 Reasons to Upgrade from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7 ?

Hello, I'd like to know your top 5 reasons to upgrade your site(s) from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7, assuming all your required modules have been ported (you know they will be) to Drupal 7.

What is it? Speed? Less resource hungry? Better interface? What makes it worthwhile for you?

Drupal 7 login issues

I just attempted an upgrade to Drupal 7, and am having issues trying to login.

Here is the page, which is stuck in maintenance mode:

davekahler.com

If you go to the login page:

davekahler.com/user

You can enter anything you want, and it doesn't respond to it. Just returns you to the login page. It does this even for valid accounts. What can I do to trace what is going on here?

URGENT; entire site down after trying to upgrade 2 modules

Drupal 6.19 I believe but I can't even check (see below).

I'm working on a site on DotEasy. Not my choice, but was already belonging to the client so had no choice but to use them. Can't figure out their setup and basically seem to have access to NOTHING helpful.

I've been trying to upgrade the emfield module and the views module on account of the recent security updates. Initially, the emfield module led to a WSOD, possibly because of a PHP compatibility issue as the module was deactivated after as a result of that issue. I went back to the old version and restored my backup from backup and migrate and that was fine.

Now I've tried the same thing with the latest Views, and have had the same problem. Reinstalled views and restored the old database. But now the entire Admin area is a WSOD and the "site is offline" message has disappeared for non-logged in users.

I'm tempted to try restoring the backup from Backup and Migrate using the significantly disabled version of phpmyadmin in Doteasy but am unsure of how to do that? Would it work with the backup and migrate file or would I need to add something to it?

I'm at a loss here. It may be a memory limit issue but I have tried the options mentioned elsewhere and can't seem to access ANY of them using this host. Can't even figure out how to enable error logging and there doesn't seem to be an error log!!!

6.19 => 6.20

Friday, i upgrate Drupal 6.19 to 6.20

Oops ... big crash ...

All admin pages are not found ... impossible to do anything ... :-(

Fortunately I made a backup of all files and the data base. I reinstalled everything ... But I was scared for my life!
Everything works as before.

But I kept the old site and the data base where the pages were not found ... in case I found the problem ..

Have you had this problem there?

Comment Approval Link change in functionality after upgrading 6.19 -> 6.20 ?

Tonight I upgraded from 6.19 to 6.20 and I'm running into an issue.

Formerly I had a link to the Comment Approval Queue (ie http://www.*mysite*.com/admin/content/comment/approval) right in my primary links. It was visible only to administrative users who had permission to visit the Approval Queue. I didn't need to do anything to limit this visibility, it seemed to have been built-in, with drupal being smart enough to only display that link to admin users.
