Upgrading Drupal

I upgraded my site yesterday to Drupal 7. I have been playing with it in Firefox and it looks great. However, since I am a Linux user I don't open IE often. Today I ran a Windows XP VM to check how my site looks in chrome and IE. Chrome looks great but IE looks terrible. I am using CTI Flex and it looked great in Drupal 6 but somethings very wrong with the Drupal 7 version. Even there demo site looks honorable. Does anyone have any idea on what I can do to fix this. At minimum I would like my header background to show. However, it would also be nice for my text to not be so big to.

Hello all,

I am new to Drupal and just logged into my site and have a pinkish box telling me that I need to update my Drupal 7.10 to version 7.12. I have no idea how to do this and a bit of research here on the forums has me feeling slightly more than daunted. Can someone please give me a layman's termed step by step? For the record, my version of the Acquia DAMP is installed on my machine locally, not online in a dev acct, etc.

I'm very new to Drupal, and recently installed Drupal 7.10 using Acquia. I haven't purchased a domain yet, or set up a server. Just to learn how, I tried to do the minor upgrade to 7.12, using these instructions: http://drupal.org/node/1223018.

So, basically I unzipped drupal-7.12, and replaced the sites folder with my old one. I couldn't run update.php, and when I tried to re-access my test site with the Acquia control panel, I got a 403 error.

I have convert from d6 to d7.
I have problem to get my images gallery to work after the convert to d7.
What should i do to get my gallarys back

Had a strange problem where I had to use the backup to the whole drupal6 database, a backup which was made before I updated 6.22 to 6.24. Can I expect there to be any problems. I.E.: Question: Any database changes in going from 6.22 to 6.24?
