I've just run a test migration of a D6 site to D8.
What I notice is that there's a lot of tables with the migrate_map_d6_ prefix and a lot of these are not empty.
Further, the 'users' table and the 'users_....' tables are now gone and it seems the user info have been placed in 'migrate_map_d6_user' and a few 'migrate_map_d6_user_....' tables. The same seems to be the case for url_alias, taxonomy tables, etc.
My site crashes when trying to go to mysite.com/admin/config after updating from 7.35 to 7.43. I get a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. I also tried adding the "?q=" into the URL's, but the page still does not load. It is running on Windows Server 2012 with IIS and PHP 5.5.35.
I should add that I am new to Drupal. I have inherited this site from someone who no longer works at the company.
I developed a drupal 8 module inside of a 8.0.6 installation. My module requires serveral composer packages. Some of them 3rd party, some of them are my own.
Did work fine until I decided to rollout my module into a fresh installation of 8.1.2.
In the main composer.json I required exactly the same composer packages as in 8.0.6. But if I try to install my module in 8.1.2, I get a fatal error.
Some of my modules classes that requires classes from composer packages can't find said classes. I didn't change anything about the namespace.
Dear all
We are currently moving our webportal from 6.2. to 8 with lots of problems. We gave up an automated content migration and do it manually.
I had the the avatar blocks installed in the left sidebar in Drupal 6. https://www.drupal.org/project/avatar_blocks/releases
Is there a comparable solution ready in Drupal 8 to collect basic user information and and a face pile for logged in users?
How does it work?
Hi, I am in early stages of Migrating a large 6.20 site to 8.1. I have a 8.1 installed on a development server and the 6.20 and its copy on a live server in a different location. I exported the 320MB (uncompressed) Drupal database with phpMyAdmin and tried to import on the new development server running Php 5.6.22 and MySQL 5.5.44 and my intention to run the Drupal Upgrade module.
However the Drupal 6 db won't import and I get the following error message:
Unable to import the drupal dump:
