At the time that Drupal 7 came out did work it out to upgrade/migrate my Drupal 6 website to Drupal 7.
During the attempts I actually managed to break my Drupal 6 website and that was the end of it.
Now I'm facing the webhost migration of a Drupal 7 website and while Drupal 8 is out for quite some time, I figured let's also try to upgrade to D8.
But again, after having spend many hours I have to admit that it's beyond my capabilities.
It'd appear to me that there's no semi-smooth upgrade path from D7 to D8.
So, I'm actually interested if there are any detailed "how to" success stories of D7 upgrades to D8?
I've run into an issue with some of our 3rd party PCI compliance vendors when scanning our sites. When the site is scanned it is responding back with the version number of drupal but not the patch level. This scan runs on a quarterly basis and each time i have to re-document that the version w are on is 7.x . Does anyone have any suggestions on how to either get drupal to display the full version # or how you deal with this.
Example.
We run drupal 7.50 but the scans only see version 7 .
Hey There, thanks for looking at my post. I recently imported the Bootstrap 3 theme into my site. The only problem with the theme is that it doesn't allow the logo image to be responsive. This is not good. I hope there is an easy solution. I've looked around for a couple of days but can't find an easy solution (like a missed box not checked).
Several years ago, our web developer quit, and we didn't replace him. Now I'm sitting on a Drupal 6 installation that I can't upgrade. After three failed manual attempts, I installed Drush (I've tried both 6 and 8). When I try to upgrade with Drush it tells me that drupal6-eol is corrupt. I found the place where it checks the MD5 hashes, and disabled that only to get more error messages about Drupal 6 being out of date. Then I tried installing Ubuntu 11.10, installing Drupal 6 from the repositories (had to modify my sources.list to point to the URL for EOL Ubuntu versions).
