Ok, here's what I want to do. I want to be able to do an install without having to setup all the menus every single time. I will setup each install the same with the same modules. Would it be possible to download a copy of the "menus" table from mysql and then just import that to a fresh install. Would it apply cleanly? Does anybody know? Or could I accomplish this by using an installation profile?
Is it possible to unlock / unrestrict areas of a site by clicking on part on image? Suppose the image is a face and you would gain full access to the site by clicking on the eye. So parts of the site would be protected, but by clicking once on "the eye" would allow different protected pages to be visible without the need of a username or password.
I am new to Drupal and just installed Drupal 5 via CVS on my PC (Ubuntu) a couple of days ago. Now since version 6 stable is out. I want to know the following:
1. Since Drupal 6 displays in admin section any module needs that needs upgradation, is it better to install multi-site via cvs or is individual installation better?? Which method would you recommend for multi-site installation?
I'm sure this has been asked before, but a search didn't turn up anything relevant, so my apologies in advance if this is a tired subject.
I'm about to start a website project that will require clients to have a private user area (1 area per client that is only accessible to that client via a username/password), but all these areas should be accessible to the admin users of the site. Is this possible with Drupal? What I see is the ability to lock an area by usergroup or level, but not by specific user.
I am building a site where I need to limit access to authenticated users. The how-to specifies a module called "Taxonomy Access Control". The how-to describes very close to what I am trying to accomplish.
I was just about to work on it when 6.0 was released. The problem is the module Taxonomy Access Control has not been updated since July and does not have a 6.0 version. Someone even put in a question about when the 6.0 version of the module would be released ... with no response.
