Before you start

I am newbie, would like to learn drupal 8.

- I already installed drupal 8
- go to my localhost/drupal
- at "home" page, click "add content" (under Tools), chose "Article"
- Fill in "title", "body" (text format basic HTML), "image", alt text, Save and publish
- only shows title that i filled in, body and picture doesnt appear.

Could anyone help?

Fivestar, Rate or others do not seem ported to Drupal 8.

I`m building a dictionary site with local words and expressions, a bit like urban dictionary. Before setting ut the content types and relations I`d like to get some advice.

Here`s the end product I`d like:

I have a little bit knowledge of Drupal. I need to develop a corporate intranet portal using drupal 7. I need features like,

Employee profile creation
Announcement (Internal announcement, internal opportunities, display new joiners with their photo and info)
Employee birthday celebration
Awards
Discussion board
Forums
Event calendar
and many more.

I would like to know whether corporate portal can be built with drupal. Please let me know if there any modules for the above requirement or any opensource for this .

I would like to ask you some thoughts that I had. I have a drupal 7 multi-site which has its own ip address. I was wondering if it is possible to install on this ip/main domain, a SAN SSL certificate and put inside the other domains that I need. Do you think that it is going to work?
