Before you start

I've built a few websites with other CMS software in the past but I would like to give Drupal a shot on my latest project. I'm building a team website for a soccer club and they need the following features. I'm almost 100% positive Drupal can handle this for me but I wanted to double check before I get started. Also, can you make specific recommendations for each module I'll need to accomplish the task.

• Team Roster w/ links to individual player profile pages
• Team Calendar
• Photo Gallery

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a template that is given to all users but with either form elements or radio buttons, etc as choices that the system can remember. I'd like to create a website where each user has access to their own area/settings that are saved (either database or whatever...). I'm just trying to figure out the logistics for this type of thing. I've heard people talk about accomplishing similar things so if anyone could point me in the right direction, that'd be great! Thanks for any and all help! :)

I am building a website for a night club, and they wanted the following things included:

- an admin/user system
- a picture gallery where admins upload pictures and users can comment if logged in
- some kind of simple forum
- certain parts of the site is only accessible for users who login, like "the download of the month" and so.

What do you think? Would Drupal do the job for me?

Before I start delving into Drupal, I have a really quick yes/no question to ask.

We have a group of 3 websites, 2 exist now and will be redone, 1 is new. I want to run all of the sites off one installation (I believe this is possible - have done some reading) but what is really important is that when a person registers for one site, they are automatically registered (and logged in if possible) for them all. Is this possible?

My company uses Active Directory for its users. I only want the users that I set accounts up for to be able to login to the administration section of the site. However, for those users I want their passwords to be sync'd to the AD passwords. Is this possible? If it is, how up-to-date can the passwords be? Within seconds? Minutes? Hours?

Can the Drupal eCommerce be use to create an online catalog (like the showcase mode of Zencart)?

If yes what are the modules I need to install to do that?
