Id like to set a site up using Drupal for another person with no HTML knowledge to maintain the text - but I want to make sure it has a flexible text editor like Joomla or something so they wont have to know the tags for bolding and such.
Does Drupal have this functionality? I like the Drupal templates so much better than Joomla.
I just received my copy of David Mercer's "Drupal 6" book yesterday...and while it is a very welcome sight for jargon-addled-sore-eyes, it is full of typos, just like your typical usenet or forum post!
More glaringly, my copy is MISSING THE APPENDIX AND MOST OF CHAPTER TEN!!!
Yes, it's simply not there! At first I was surprised to see how thin the book was for something that runs 343 pages, but I didn't realize that that was because the Appendix and most of Chapter Ten had been left out...it's perfectly bound otherwise, the book is, no obvious sign of defect otherwise.
Hi,
I have installed drupal6 and made a page with blog and polls.
For a newbie like me, can any one tell me where the content for a web page , say a quote or blog title when enterred by a drupal CMS interface is finally stored so that the data is shown in web page.
On the home page, from where the quote content is fetched and stored.
Also when clicking how the details is fetched and displayed by ( /?q=node/2 )
just for curiosity and for customizing the page , I need to know this.
I am about to do a completely new website using Drupal. I would like to set up the homepage to have a logon. The reason being that I plan to setup the site for students and wish to issue the students with a username and password - the same one, only likely to be one user at a time - simply to stop prying eyes.
Is there a way to authenticate users before they can access sections? I'm going to be looking at using the site for sharing economic data, publications, working papers, lecture notes and presentations.
Hi Everyone,
I'm wanting to use Drupal 6 since its the latest version and I have already installed 6.3 on my web server. I noticed that the Image Module is in Alpha 2 stage. http://drupal.org/project/image
