Serving Drupal Across 13 Domains

Hi everybody,

This is going to be my first Drupal installation and was looking for some answers before I put a lot of time into this if it's not the right option.

We have a photography site that sells photos of an artist. We'll call this stockphotos.net. Now we have 12 other domains that are specific to specific to different categories of photography (Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Kitchens, Gardens, etc). These domains are all in line with the following format - bathroomphotoarchival.com

Converting old site to drupal

I am working on taking an older site and making it "web 2.0".

It is for a real estate company and there are several forms for searching homes, calculating mortgages, etc. These forms are all handled by ASP scripts.

How would one go about converting an ASP based site over to Drupal? Can I use a asp to php converter and try to manually integrate these scripts into the site in blocks and pages? Would it make more sense to rewrite from scratch?

And, should I use the 5.x or 6.x branch?

Thank you, I hope I have provided enough information for an answer.

Scheduling and task email application with Drupal.

I'm doing some reseach for friend of mine for a test project with currently very limited resources. I have used Drupal in the past (2003) to build some websites, but I am not up to date with it's current status. Looking into Drupal now as a possible solution, not very skilled with PHP.

Anyway the result should be application that will send email periodically (daily, weekly, monthly etc) with a task to (induvidual) users that belong to one of the client groups. The client groups are not aware of other existing client groups.

Users, What they can and can't view. Need some advice

I have looked at Joomla and Drupal for a client website.

Joomla cannot do what I want to achieve and I would be interested in feedback to dins out if drupal can do it.

What I need is fairly simple. A Blogging website for students on a course. There are about 50 students, who over the course of a year will blog to the site, based on their coursework.

The difficulty I have is that I want to be able to set up individual blogs that students can post to, but they determine who can subscribe (on an individual bases, or created groups)

Will Drupal work for my Site

I am new to Drupal and have been trying to use it now for approx 1 week. I am coming from a MS Access ASP website driven background and am trying to shrug off the years of standard table formatted websites.

I am looking at providing a client with a catalogue style website, which will list products for sale although the admin of the site is not selling the products, merely providing the site to sell them.

Could i have some advice on a new project?

My Client wants a website that basicly shows a map of an area.
This area will have some "venue's" that can be clicked on and then reviewed and star rated.

i need users to be able to add "venue's" as well as review and give out star ratings.

would drupal be able to do this? maybe from gmaps or somthing?
