Creating "Chapters" for members to belong to

I'm new to Drupal. I am wanting to create a membership site. The main issue I am wondering if Drupal can handle is the concept of "Chapters". In this context a chapter is a location where a group of members would be associated. So there would be a Los Angeles chapter or a Chicago chapter, etc. So a member would belong to a specific chapter. A chapter would also have a number of fields associated with it (name, location, president, etc.).

How would Drupal handle this? Can someone point me to either a module or some sort of documentation about this type of thing?

Category

Hello
I hab one problem with my container. What i did is: i created 1 container and created categories in it. So what happend is that actually the container was appearing first in the book navigation and now suddenly one of the categories is appearing always there.

Example Sample0 (container- Cars) -> sample1 (categorie- Mercedes) -> New
-> sampla2 (categorie)

Are these project development steps in order?

Hey guys,

I'm working on creating a Drupal powered website for my shop. I'm not a programmer but I'm reasonably clever so I'm gonna make a try for it.

I installed 5.11 in a subdomain of my site as I plan to use Ubercart. I have a drawing I made of what I'd like our site to look like (you can see it here - http://bcmducati.com/site_sketch.pdf - don't laugh). So I guess the steps I have in mind are more or less as follows:

Drupal Dating site

Hey Drupallers!

I was considering developing a dating site in a drupal platform. I was wondering whether or not this was a viable option... I actually have some questions so if any of you could kindly answer them I would really appreciate it.

1) is there a drupal dating software (not social networking)
2) do you know of any current site up that are based on this software...
3) is it the latest and best software to use, or are there other softwares available which would be better ...

Drupal installed by Bluehost or myself?

I'm trying to create a website for my shop. I'm web savvy but by no means am I knowledgeable about most of the stuff I've been reading here. I can learn though and I'm not afraid to try some things out.

OK, so our site is currently running Rapidweaver and in the middle of setting it up I realized that there's no way it'll work for our needs. I NEED to have pages that can be modified by other users (for example the sales guy needs to be able to upload new bikes himself rather than sending me the images and info and waiting for me to have time to add it to the Rapidweaver sandwich). I also need a store. RW has some nice add ons that sort of work but don't really cut for our needs. Drupal and Ubercart seem to fit the bill.

Multiple communities in one drupal install?

Hey everyone,

I'm a long time web designer, havent used drupal for about 6 years and I'm ready to give it a shot.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to create multiple communities within one site, and here is what I mean.

Lets say you have a big video game community, people can join the site, and select their favorite community, such as WOW or SOCOM or XBOX or whatever. Then within those communities they can only interact with each other.

But I'd also like a global forum, which ties everyone together.

This possible?
