Before you start

I've setup a number of single language drupal sites but have never done a fully dual language site before. Most of the process seems clear to me, but I have a couple of doubts about the initial install.

I'm going to install the English 6.15 core. Should I also download the drupal Spanish core, or will selecting the language in /admin/settings/language fetch any additional files that I might need?

If I use subdomains for language (eg esp.site.com & eng.site.com) do all I need to is point my DNS settings at the drupal directory?

I have setup the input formats so i can use the markdown filter. The order of my filters is:

I have tried to setup a toc with markdown but it doesnt seem to work correctly. If this is not the correct filter to use what would you recommend. This is the order of the filters that i am currently using:

table of contents
freelinking filter
Markdown
HTML filter
line break converter
URL filter
HTML corrector

I am trying to find the best (open source or cheap) cms for making a game database.

The games would be stored in a database together with a review. Beside the review which is a text a game should have different properties attached to it such as genre, possibly subgenre and how many players it supports and what grade it got in the review.

I noticed that Drupal has taxonomy which to some extent can be used for category and number of players, but it would be difficult for a user to search for for example games that supports 2-4 players.

I am helping out someone design a website and since I developed one already with Drupal, i'm betting Drupal can do this one as well. Here is what the site should have:

-A Gallery with a block on the homepage of random photos..preferably not a static block.
-An events calendar and a block on the homepage showing upcoming events and the time
-A podcast section (resolved already I know what to use).
-Translations...The site should have the ability to display some punjabi (Gurmukhi) writings/letters.

I have had this website running for over 2 years and it attracts quite a few visitors daily so I am sure to moderate all comments made my users myself before they go live

Over the past week or so, a handful of comments in the the forum appeared to have bypassed any sort of moderation queue and are going live straight away. I have to go through each one and delete it. Why is this happening. I have disabled comments for users altogether, but I have still see what changes this brings.
