Before you start

Hello all... I am lost and wondering if drupal could do the job that "I" want to have for a web site. Just to keep it as simple as possible to explain, but I have looked thru a few of the review modules and I am lost as to what would work. It will be a book review site, where there would be different sections (nodes corrct?) will a review for 'a' book (of possible many in that section - fiction) that we could right a review. At the bottom of that review there would be a rating that signed in readers could do.(though I think i found one that would work.

I'm researching a new CMS and posting this same question on several CMS sites. As a government agency, we have high security requirements, so we deploy everything on a staging server first, then test, then deploy to a production server. Does Drupal let you do this easily, e.g.:

1) Edit page(s)/sections/applications on staging server
2) deploy to staging
3) test test test
4) deploy page/section/application (and ONLY that page/section/application) to prod server with a simple "click here to deploy to prod" button.

I am actually not sure what version I am working with...I have started a new job and our website has our blog in drupal I was just wondering how I can get my blog to have a sticky top and how do i link another persons blog to mine.

We have a static site that also includes a couple of WordPress blogs that fit seamlessly into the design.

Thinking of moving over to Drupal to manage the whole lot. Does it play nice with WP or are we likely to run into problems?

Hi everyone,

I would like to know if there is a "web to print" module for drupal.

I would like to customize a business card on ligne, with a direct outline of the modifications (as in vistaprint). Then the customized business card (saved as a pdf or something else) would be sent to a printer partner.

Is this possible with drupal ? is someone working on it ?

I am by no means a tech, I just need a place to go to learn about this platform
