I was wondering if someone could help clarify the Drupal license and what some parts mean.

I was checking out the FAQs - http://drupal.org/licensing/faq#q8

I am trying to make a site that will function as a directory for HIV post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) services. The basic point of the site would be that a user would input there location and the nearest clinics\hospitals that offer PEP would be returned., in addition to mapping this through Google Maps. Is Drupal suitable?

I'm trying to make a multiblog centered community site based on a videogame series, I've looked at, and played around with Wordpress Mu, but it's just lacking the features that I need, and I was wondering if Drupal would be a good alternative.
Basically, what I'm after is;

I'm early(ish) days with D6 at present and don't want to take on an alpha release while I'm still dealing with problems of my own making with D6. One thing I'm wondering about is what happens to D6 support when D7 gets released. Is there a published support 'policy' available?

I want to rebuild a site I've had for years, http://www.able-travel.com, which contains lots of categorised info, but it's presented in loads of static HTML pages with no database & lots of repitition.

OK this is a total rookie questions, but it isn't clear.

Is the Domain Access module to be used instead of a multi-site setup(i.e. it is just a module that runs in a standard Drupal installation)?

-OR-

- Is the Domain Access module supposed to be used along with a multi-site setup?

Background: I want to setup and share content among several sites.
Any help clarifying is appreciated.
